Betty Jean Burnett

Betty Jean Burnett, born September 25, 1931, to the late James C. and Emma Jean Burge in Tate, GA, departed peacefully on January 3, 2025. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sons, James C. and Larry W. Rainer and 3 grandchildren, Terry L. Robinson, Robyn R. Rainer and Sheree Bass.

She was a graduate of Hall High School in Alcoa, TN and a member of Mother Love Baptist Church where she served on the Mother Board. She is survived by her children, Chris E. Rainer, Alcoa, TN, Marc (Tammie) Burnett, Emma (Anthony) Earls both of Cookeville, TN, Jackie V. Burnett, Johnson City, TN and Pamela Thompson, Maryville, TN; fourteen grandchildren and a host of great-grand and great-great grandchildren. Aunt, Minnie Alexander, Hiram, GA and godson, Larry Hodge, Sr. Special friends, The Williams and Brabson Families, Karla George, LaRon Ferguson, Debra Teeter and Kristi Thomas.

Special thanks to Signature Health Care, Gentiva Hospice and Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Mother Love Baptist Church, Louisville, TN from 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with memorial service to follow.
