Charles Moss, Jr.

Charles Lee Moss, Jr. (“Buddy”) was born on February 17, 1968, to Charles Sr. and Dorothy Moss. He graduated from Alcoa High School in 1986, and served in the United States Navy, receiving an Honorable Discharge. In 2013 he married Samantha Burgess, and God blessed them with two wonderful sons, Mathew and Jerimiah. Charles was active in his faith as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian and attended the Knoxville First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Knoxville. He truly lovedthe Lord Jesus Christ, and was a devoted Christian, husband, father, brother, and friend. He passed to his rest in Jesus on February 14, 2022.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, James and Ella Mae Moss, and Earnest and Geneva Johnson, and sister Robin Conner. To cherish his memories, he is survived by his wife Samantha Moss, Daughter Jamila Badgett, sons Mathew and Jerimiah Moss, sisters Felicia (George) Samuel, Karla (Henry) Brown, and Judy Knighton, mother-in-law Glenda Burgess, devoted friends Chris Taylor and Randy Moeller, and a large host of loving family members, friends, and church family.

Family will receive friends at Knoxville First Seventh-day Adventist Church 3611 Kingston Pk. Knoxville, TN 37919, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday February 20, 2022, with funeral service to follow. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home. www.foothillsfh.com
