THE LONGEVITY OF LIFE OF MOTHER CLARA INEZ STEVENS

Look at God’s work for Mother Clara Inez Stevens, touching her with long life and prosperity!  She was Born on June 29 th , 1918, to David and Laura McGee in Vonore, Tn. Mother Clara Inez Stevens was a member of St. John Baptist Church all her adult life.  She worked dutifully in the church singing, working in the kitchen, and anywhere she was needed. Mother Stevens worked in Dr. McKinnon’s office for many years until she retired.

She loved her neighborhood so much that she shared a few of her many talents by helping and teaching others how to sew.  She also enjoyed cooking and family gatherings.  Mother often had advice for her caretakers who worked at Shannondale Health Care facility.  One worker said just the other day, that Mother Stevens told her that she was tired and was going to see the Angels.

Mother Clara Inez Stevens departed this life a few days later, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 5 pm at the age of 104 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jasper M. Pride, and her 2 nd husband Robert Stevens, a son Alvin Pride, and her daughter Mildred Pride-Bostick.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter Willie Brown, son Jasper (Bernice), Charles (Margaret), a devoted niece Ann McKissick, a host of loving nephews, nieces, grand and great grands, neighbors, friends, cousins, and her church family.
