David Allen Barner “AB” 57 of Greeneville, TN entered into rest May 15, 2019 at Johnson City Heart Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Barner was an employee of Imerys’ fused minerals for twenty years. Survived by his wife Deborah Barner of twenty years, three daughters Lyndia Barner, Shaina Brice (Jeremy), and Jill Baskerville (Tim), six siblings Cynthia (Ed), Charles (Tammy), Calvin, Onya (Kline), Rico (Jennifer), and Cedric. Mother Betty Barner, Mother-in-law Marvia Brice, a host of nieces and nephews. Special Brother Jerry Brice, special cousins Michael Hamilton, and Randy Barner, very special friends Frankie Smith and Rodney Merriweather, and a host of other friends. Mr. Barner is preceded in death by his father David Barner Jr. Paternal grandparents David Barner Sr. and Minnie Barner. Maternal grandmother May Belle Blue. Monday, May 20th the body will lie in state for viewing at Friendship Baptist Church 343 Davis St. Greeneville, TN 37743 starting at noon. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 21st at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church. Rev CC Mill Jr., Rev. Ross Helton, and Rev Rochelle Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow the service in Pruitt Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Robert Arnett, Deano Barner, Jessie Barner, Randy Barner, Jerry Brice, Rodney Merriweather, Rex Wilhoit, and Phillip Wright. Honorary Pallbearers: Willie Anderson, Tim Bowser, Ronnie Dabbs, Donnie Hamilton, Michael Hamilton, Kevin Hardy, Tommy Hopson, Phillip Ottinger, Billy Sauceman, and Chad Smith. Repass will follow immediately at Friendship Baptist Church.
