Henrietta L. Williams

Henrietta L. Williams was born on January 31, 1935 to Richard and Gertrude Williams, Sr. in Alcoa, Tennessee.  She died January 3, 2019 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, Tennessee.

Henrietta graduated from Charles M. Hall High School in 1953.  After Graduation she moved to New York City and returned home to attend Cooper Business Institute.  After attending Cooper Business Institute she returned to New York, where she worked for New York Phone and Telegraph, from which she retired in 1997.

Henrietta accepted Christ at an early age and was ordained into the Ministry by the Blessed Events Spiritual Church in June of 1983.  She was a devoted friend and prayer warrior, who believed that God loved all people, and was a faithful member of My Father’s House, in Maryville, Tennessee.

Henrietta was preceded in death by parents Richard, Sr. and Gertrude Williams, grandparents, James and Alice Williams, and Louis and Martha Jones; brothers, Richard (Ree) Williams, Richard Williams, Jr., Jesse Williams, George Williams, Dr. Mike Williams, and sister, Jeanette Williams Roper.

She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Michael (Karen) Martin, brothers, Clarence (Sharon) Williams; Reverend James (Anita) Williams of Lorain, Ohio, sister Geneva Williams-Harrison, sister-in-law, Evelyn Williams of Alcoa, grandchildren, Maliya Martin and Mikel Martin, many nieces and nephews, a host of devoted friends, and the membership of My Father’s House.

In lieu of flowers and honorariums the family request that memorials be made to My Father’s House, 2523 Tuckaleechee Pike Maryville, Tennessee 37803.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 11, 2019 beginning at 12 noon, funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church Alcoa, TN Pastor Don Baker eulogist.  Interment will be at Sherwood Gardens following the funeral service.  The body may be viewed on Thursday January 10, 2019 from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m.at Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville. www.foothillsfh.com
