Herbert Porter

Herbert Eugene Porter of Louisville, TN age 75, passed away Monday April 8, 2019. He had retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Group where he worked continually after leaving the United States Navy in 1967. He was ADJ2 upon his discharge. While with Pratt & Whitney he held a variety of assignments in Experimental Assembly and assembly and test quality control. His assignment before retiring was as Methods Planner in Engine Quality Engineering. He participated with others of his company with Rolls Royce Manufacturing which took him abroad.

He is survived by sisters; Margaret Cobbs, Sylvia Porter, Delores Walker and brother, Leslie Porter. He was much loved by nieces; Amy Gill, Courtney Sammy, LaGhana Walker, Cecily Sanders, Cori Hamlett, Chrystyn Sammy, Jessica Sanders, Peyton Potts, and Mackenzie Sanders, and a host of cousins.

Funeral service with Military Honors will be Monday April 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at East TN Veterans Cemetery, Knoxville. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville. www.foothillsfh.com
