James Dunlap

James Rick Dunlap was born January 11, 1958, passed away at his home on Saturday October 16, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He became a Christian in his later years. James was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He attended Everett High School.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Grace Dunlap, brother, Freddie Dunlap.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sandy Dunlap of Rockford, TN; children, Dustin Dunlap, Jennifer (Brian) Simerly, Kayla (Tony) Cagle grandchildren, Trevor Fuller, Kelsey (Matt) Lord, Lexie Wilson, Nathan and Logan Cagle great granddaughter, Paris Fuller brother, Eddie (Joy) Dunlap sisters, Brenda Potter, Peggy Hair, Elizabeth (Carl) Coatney, Kathy (Dickie) Burnette mother-in-law, Naomi Amburn sister-in-law, Brenda Wilson, numerous, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Thursday October 21, 2021, at Third Street Baptist Church with funeral service to follow. Interment will be at Cold Springs Cemetery. Minister Phillip Helton officiating. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home. www.foothillsfh.com
