James Lee Taylor

James Lee Taylor, born in Opelika, Alabama, on March 2, 1949 and passed January 30, 2021. Preceded in death by parents Jimmie Taylor, Lottie Barker , and grandparents Laz and Tollie Taylor.

James graduated from J.W. Darden High School in Opelika Alabama. Served in the Armed Forces with honorable discharge. Studied at TN Institute of Electronics and received a certificate of Auto Mechanics. After 16 year s , James retired from Newell-Rubbermaid in Maryville Tn.

James was a deacon at Pilgrim Temple Baptist Church in Rockford.

James leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife Laura Helen Taylor, Mother-in-law Laura Manuel, beloved daughters Renee Mynatt, Gwen (Donald)Webb and Robyn Locke, grandchildren Adrienne (Luke Henrickson) Locke, Chris Locke, Vanessa (Tyrone)Mynatt-Andrews, Jeremy (Alex) Locke, Kassi Grimes, Myles Mynatt,12 great grands and a host of family and friends.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday February 3, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Sherwood Gardens. Body may viewed Tuesday from 12 noon-6:00 p.m. at Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville. www.foothillsfh.com
