Juliana F. Tamez-Howard, 58, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on September 27 at Turkey Creek Medical Center holding the hand of her daughter and sister. She will be deeply missed and remembered for her outgoing personality, extremely witty sense of humor and love for God and her family. Juliana graduated from Kearney High School in 1981. She served in the Army for several years until she was injured and became a disabled veteran. She graduated in 2013 from Troy University in Troy Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Juliana was predeceased by her mother, Helen Pruitt, and her brother Robert D. Baker, and her son Wendell Montez Howard, Jr. She is survived by her father, Robert Tamez, Sr. and her two brothers, Gene E. Pruitt, Jr. and Robert Tamez, Jr.; her foursisters, Lydia Solano, Roxanne (David) Raschke, Tamara Pruitt,and Lisa (Tony) Vedova; her two children Ruben Matthew Schellenberg (Fiancé Tina) and Mia Howard and her six grandchildren, Audrey, Jalen, Jordan, Justin, Isaiah, and Messiah.
Service will be held at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on October 15 at 10:00 a.m. Also, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Transformation Church (World Café) at 12:30 p.m. Flowers can be sent to Foothills Funeral Home or Transformation Church (World Café) 9050 Cross Park Dr., Knoxville, TN 37923.
