Joe R. Penson

Joe Ronald Penson, of Louisville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2023. The son of the late Robert and Elizabeth McBath Pension, he was born December 30, 1943. After graduating from Charles M. Hall High School in 1962, he continued his education at West Kentucky Vocational School in Paducah, Kentucky. He earned a degree in electronics. Joe was a former member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church. He volunteered his service to main the church and the lawn. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Penson and brother and sister, Thomas and Carolyn Penson; nephew, Shannon Watts and brother-in-law Bill Watts. Precious memories will be held by wife, Emma; son, Robert (Melissa); grandchildren, Elijah Cox-Penson, Isiah Cox-Penson, Taylor Penson, Jaylen Penson, Emma Brewer, Kennedy Mitchell, Ryleigh Penson, Acelynn Penson, Zoie Penson, Realynn Penson and bonus grandson, DaKari Harris; sister, Hattie Penson Watts; sister-in-law, Dorothy Penson; nieces, LaBrina (Charles) Harris and Deja Hundley; nephews, Forrest Watts and Thomas (Nikki) Penson, Jr.

Memorial service will be held, Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Foothills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. LorrinHarris, officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. www.foothillsfh.com
