Laverne Jones

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  John 14:2-3

On Thursday, December 21, 2023, our Lord took Laverne Buchanan Jones, 80, of Maryville, TN, to be with Him.  A memorial service to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date

She is survived by her brother Kyle Buchanan; sister Loretta Brewer; daughters, Bonita (Andre) Smith, Sandy (Steve) Koons; her granddaughters, Ashley Hughes and Deja Hughes andmultiple great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Also mourning her loss are her very dear friends Arnie Stinnett,Dale and Ann Boring and Mary Nell Arnett along with so many more that space does not permit us to list them all.

She was our rock, our “fixer”, our matriarch, and our moral compass.  In short, she was everything to us.  Now we wait forthat day when we can be reunited with her.

A memorial service will be held at Foothills Funeral Home from 6 p.m. -  8 p.m. Thursday January 25, 2024.
