Marshall Walker

Marshall Lee Walker, age 75, passed away January 22, 2024 at Fort Sanders hospital. Marshall was born to Norman Walker and Violet Thompson, October 29th, 1948 in Knoxville, Tn.

Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jackie Walker, sister Norman Jean Ballinger. Nephews Wayne Blakeney, Stephen Thompson, and Christopher Walker.

Marshall graduated from Fulton high school, class of 1966. Graduated with bachelors degree in 1977 and Masters degree in 1979 from the University of Tennessee. Marshall also attended Florida A&M. Marshall was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Employed by Tennessee Department of Parole, Knoxville City Schools and
Department of Human Services.

He is survived by daughters Courtney Sammy and LaGhang Walker of Alcoa.
Granddaughters Cori Hamlett, Shrystyn Sammy, and Peyton Potts of Alcoa. Sisters Eveline Walker and Rosalind Walker of Knoxville. Nieces Necole Walker and Cecily Sanders. Nephews Ryan Walker and Randall Blakeney. A host of grand nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Matthew Gayle.

Family will receive friends from noon - 1 pm Monday January 29, 2024 at St. John Baptist Church, Alcoa with funeral service to follow. Interment will follow service at Berry Highland South, Knoxville.
