Paul Porter

Paul Arthur Porter, age 64, of Alcoa, Tennessee, entered eternal rest Tuesday November 9, 2021, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Paul was born to the late Paul G. (Tiny) and Annie Lou Porter. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a founding member of Mother Love Missionary Baptist Church.

He graduated from Alcoa High School Class of 1975. He continued his education at East Tennessee State University. He retired from ALCOA where he worked several years until his health began to fail.

Paul is preceded in death by his sister, Priscilla Porter Morgan, brother, Carl Stanford Porter.

He leaves to cherish his memories, devoted daughter Jasmine Porter of Alcoa, TN., grandchildren, Brooklyn K. Marsh and Bryson K. Marsh, devoted nieces, Felicia J. Morgan, Renae (Charles) Brooks Jr., Tiffany (Ben) Lewis Jr., Teresa L. Porter, nephew, Guy (Nora) Porter, a host of great nieces and nephews. Devoted cousins Leslie Porter, Sha-Londe Smith, Jean Harris, and Alycia Coffin. Long time friend Claudia Ervin and the Mother Love church family.

Family will receive friends from noon – 1 p.m. on Saturday November 20, 2021, funeral service to follow at Mother Love Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Loren Harris officiating. Interment following service at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The body may be viewed from noon – 6 p.m. on Friday November 19, 2021, at Foothills Funeral Home.
