Portia B. Fowler

Portia B. Fowler, age 71, of Maryville, TN passed November 8, 2019. Portia accepted Christ at a young age and became a life-long member of Alcoa Church of Christ. A member of the Charles M. Hall High School Class of 1965, she was a talented seamstress, caterer, collector of Black art, and entertainer at family activities. Portia retired from ALCOA after 36 years of service.

Portia was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Eartha Crossing Fowler and two brothers, James and Dexter. She is survived by children, Stacey Coffin, Alycia Coffin and Iman Smith (Terry Tabors); grandchildren, Nicco Coffin, Georgio Coffin, Jordan Coffin, Delaney Yarski, KaJuan Young, Pasha Young and Saniyah-Marie Smith; great-grandchildren, Charisma Coffin, Kamari Young and Dene’ Young; siblings, Vincent Fowler, Andrea Fowler-Pierce, Marcia Coleman (Lee) and Terri Fowler (Rob Rogers); Aunt, Alline Crossing Reese and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville Monday, November 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.  funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home. www.foothillsfh.com
