Robert C. Henry

Robert C. Henry, Sr. departed this life on January 28, 2024 at Blount Memorial Hospital.  He was a member of Mt. Pleasant A. M. E. Zion Church.  He attended Charles M. Hall School and was employed with the State of TN for nineteen years. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Lila Henry, siblings, Thelma Jones, James (Tobe) Henry, Sarah Wilson, Carl Henry, Shirley Barton, Joseph (Spuggy) Henry and Willie (Bull Dog) Henry.

Preceding in death, nephew, Robert (Boo) Wilson, niece, Linda Chandler, Lila Strickland and nephew, David Whitehead.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Carroll Jane Roddy Henry of 63 years.  He also leaves to cherish his memory; children, Robert (Cheryl) Henry, Carla (Thelas) Kimble, Rosalyn (Michael) Littles, and Walter (Margaret)Henry. Surviving are several grandchildren, great- grandchildren,

a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins,. Stella Henry sister-in-law, Kay Tate, devoted sister in-law, devoted friends are Taft Frances, Walt Sudderth, Walter Cotner, Jim Warren, James Tadlock, Joe Tucker, Beverly Ward, Donnie Love, Gregory Love and Rev. Dr. Richard Gadzekpo.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – noon on Saturday February 3, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E Zion Church with service to follow. Interment will follow service at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Body may be viewed from noon – 6:00 p.m. on Friday at Foothills Funeral Home. www.foothillsfh.com
