Roscoe Goins

Roscoe Goins, 70, departed this life Friday, 28 April 2023 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a Maintenance & Engineering Superintendent at ALCOA / ARCONIC, INC., retiring after 32 years. Originally from Tazewell, TN, Roscoe proudly served his country, first in the United States Coast Guard, then the United States Air Force. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, TN and later, a Master of Science in Management degree from Antioch University, Antioch Seattle. Roscoe was an honorable, loving family man, remaining steadfastly by the side of his wife for nearly 50 years. His great loves, after family, were motorcycle riding and working on anything mechanical.

Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Maxi Lee Goins, sister Mary Ann Manuel,
nephew Jeremy Goins and half-brother Hugh Goins, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda; children, Roscoe J. Goins and Jaime Blevins;
grandchildren Khira Goins-Paxton, Isaiah Adams, Erica Goins; great-grandchildren Malachi, Gabriel
and Zella; brothers Henry (Joyce) Goins and David Goins. He also leaves several nieces, nephews
and cousins.

Funeral will be at Foothills Funeral Home 910 E. Lincoln Road Maryville, TN 37804 on Sunday, 7 May 2023. Visitation is at 3 pm, with service immediately following at 4 pm. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, 9 May 2023 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920.
