Sheila A. Mahone

Sheila Ann Lundy Mahone born April 20, 1962, departed this life March 6, 2023 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents William T. (Callie) Lundy.

Sheila was a graduate of Alcoa High School. She was a faithful member and First Lady of Pilgrim Temple Missionary Baptist Church for 22 years. Sheila became wheelchair bound aver 12 years ago due to rheumatoid arthritis but did not allow her change in life to alter her faith and love for others. She never complained and always tried to encourage others, even when she didn’t know she was encouraging you by her unwavering faith and joy.

Sheila would make wreaths, book markers, and bedazzle different things in her house. Sheila would call to check on others as she loved the Lord and will be dearly missed by all.

Sheila leaves to mourn her passing; Husband of 40 years Dexter L. Mahone, son Carlos (Chrishane) Mahone, brothers Bill (Robin) Lundy, Alonzo Lundy; brothers-in-law Kenneth (Robin) Dehart, Clifford (Samantha) Dehart, sisters-in-law Diane (Kenny) Dean, Deborah Dehart Green, Pamela (Kenneth) Davis, Renee Mahone Davis, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special friends, Lucille Alexander, Albert Alexander, Katherine Colbert, and Rita Fine Owens.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Saturday March 18, 2023 at Rest Haven Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Richard Turney officiating, with funeral to follow. Interment will follow service at Sherwood Gardens.
