Sherri Lavada Dobson Haley

February 1, 1958 — December 15, 2024

Sherri Lavada Dobson Haley was born on February 1, 1958 in Alcoa, Tennessee to the late Louis Jr. and Pearl Dobson. She graduated from Alcoa high School. She also graduated from Walter State Community College where she majored in Criminal Justice. Sherri worked as a Blount County Corrections Officer for several years. 

She leaves to mourn her passing three children Kranaun “Shaye” (Tamir) Greenlee, Hamadi “Gyasi” and Jamila Haley. Six grandchildren Devonte (Dashaunda) and Alycia Lewis, Tamir and Tamia Greenlee, Aundraya Sankey, Ja’Mius Haley and six great grandchildren. Her devoted sister Geraldine Haley and brother Mikail (Aminia) Abdullah. Cherished niece Taunita Dobson along with many more nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was a devoted member of High Praises Church where she enjoyed bible study and Connect Group. She loved and was loved by many. 2 Timothy 4:7:” I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” … 

Memorial service will be held Friday December 27, 2024 from 4 p.m. – 5 p. m. at High Praises Church Maryville. Repast to follow at Mother Love Baptist Church, Louisville.
