Tyrone D. Coffin

Tyrone Douglas Coffin was born in Maryville, Tennessee, on July 29th, 1949, to the union of of the late Myrtle Mae Porter and the late George
Harold Coffin Sr. Tyrone (Chizz), was the youngest of four male children. He transitioned, on Monday, March 27th, 2023, at UT
Hospital.

Tyrone was raised in Oldfield and brought up and baptized in St Paul AME Zion Church, Maryville, where he accepted CHRIST
at an early age. He graduated from Maryville High School and joined the United States Army in 1968. After Bask training and combat
training, at Fort Hood, Texas, he served in Europe and Vietnam with Co. D,2m1 Bn, 39th INF, 9th INF Division. He was awarded the
PURPLE HEART MEDAL for Combat Wounds; the AIR MEDAL (Second Oak Leaf Cluster), for participating in more than twenty-five
aerial missions over hostile territory in support of counterinsurgency operations; Combat Infantryman Badge; Army Commendation Medal w/"V" Device; Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Sharpshooter(Rifle); Marksman(M-60, Machine Gun). Tyrone worked at ALCOA Aluminum Plant for 32 years. He was a SERIOUS DALLAS COWBOY fan and Los Angeles Laker fan. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran who would reach out to help anybody in need Tyrone was proceeded in death, by his parents; brother, George H. Coffin Jr; and brother Sydney H. Coffin.

Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife, Pamela Coffin; daughters-
Tyronda Coffin and Hope Brabson; grandchildren—Ce'Toya Coffin, Devin Ferguson,TyJuan Coffin-Cox, Makayla Revels, Amos and
Amora Colbert:Honorary Children—Cheryl Jordan, Carolyn Harshaw (deceased), Terry Pichon, Barry McRae, Curtis McRae(deceased),
Chico Echols, Precious: Brother—Ronald (Glenda) Coffin; Beloved Cousins— Eugenia Harris and Michael Porter; God Daughter—Kara
Harris; Nieces and Nephews—Stacey, Alycia, Markeeta, Derrick, Celeste, Kealan, GeVonna, Shelia, Glynn, Kareem, Sharifa:
In Laws—Gail (Kevin) Dean, Terri (Rodney)Tanks, Beverly Bowman(deceased), David Cox, Dereck Cox, Leatrice Coffin.
And many more cousins, relatives and friends, too numerous to name.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow on Sunday April 2, 2023 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday April 4, 2023 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy. Knoxville. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home. www.foothillsfh.com
